BOOK LOVERS lovers and budding writers of all ages are set to enjoy brand new book event in Wrexham.

The first ever North Wales Author Expo will see dozens of authors, storytellers and literary organisations take to the stage in Wrexham Enterprise Hub.

The event takes place on Saturday, January 25 and will see Wrexham Enterprise Hub in Queen’s Square be transformed into a book lover’s paradise.

It brings together dozens of authors from across the region where they will be presenting their work.

There will be plenty of time for members of the public to meet new authors, discover new books get hold of signed copies and take part in a variety of activities.

For children and families, there will be a fantastic range of storytelling sessions taking place throughout the day, including a Welsh language storytelling session.

There will also be face painting, crafting and other attractions.

Aspiring and amateur writers are invited to attend the six expert-led workshops, which cover a range of topics including how to beat writer’s block, how to write children’s fiction, planning your

book, getting into audio and how to edit and pitch your novel.

There will also be a wealth of other interactive events taking place throughout the day including a Poetry Takeaway, a community story and a well-being drop-in clinic, as well as a resident

sketch artist, who will be capturing the day. Cakes, tea and coffee will also be available - with proceeds going to charity.
