A WOMAN found lying on her bedroom floor died of arrhythmic death syndrome – or sudden adult death syndrome – an inquest heard.
Former hotelier Laura Michelle Newsome, 38, had been bipolar for many years and was seeing a psychiatrist.
She also had neurological problems for which she was receiving medication. But her daughter Jordanne told the hearing in Ruthin that prior to her death on July 26 last year her mother was in a positive mood and planning for the future.
When Mrs Newsome’s body was found at her home in Ffordd Pennant, Mostyn, there were several medicine containers nearby but a post-mortem examination found that all the prescribed medications she had taken were at a therapeutic level.
Recording a conclusion of natural causes, Joanne Lees, assistant coroner for North Wales East and Central, said: “It is not awfully common, but is one of those unexplained situations.”
