FATHER CHRISTMAS and his reindeer stole the show as a Christmas Fair at a Flintshire primary school raised over £1,000.

A number of people turned up for the festive event at Westwood Community Primary School in Buckley, with the headteacher labelling it a resounding success.

Mrs Jayne Williams said: “The Christmas Fair was a huge success and we raised well over £1,000 which is incredible.

“The reindeer and Father Christmas were a big hit with the children and parents, while the children's stall also attracted a lot of interest and the secret Santa stall was a huge success too.”

The school still have two more events to come before the children break up for their Christmas holidays.

Firstly, a Christmas Bingo evening will take place on Wednesday (December 18) with the fun commencing from 5.30pm a day before a Community Tea Day on Thursday which will begin at 1.30pm.

Refreshments will be provided at both events with prizes also there to be won through bingo games, raffles and other competitions.
