WALES Comic Con has been hailed as bigger and better than ever...in it's new home of Telford.

With more guests, attendees and traders than ever before in the event's ten year history, the move to England was in the main welcomed by con-goers.

One trader said: "It had outgrown Wrexham. We have done better here than in the past. It's been busier even than we expected, we wish we'd brought more people to work on our table."

Ruth Elizabeth said: "WCC this year was so much better than last year. The new venue was great. We didn't feel like sardines. Queues weren't too long so you had time to see everything. I had an access pass which helped so much. Only thing I would suggest is more chairs at the photo ops for access people."

Gallifrey TimeTravellers cosplayers from Luxembourg

Many people travelled from North Wales to Telford, but there were also lots of fans and cosplayers from further afield. Heng Wagner and Monique Nikki Giling, who were cosplaying as the Fourth Doctor and companion Leela, had travelled from Luxembourg for their first UK convention.

The Leader:

Cosplayer Katheryn Michelle Bates got to meet the real Donna Noble - actress Catherine Tate

Sleepy Hollow and Watchmen star Tom Mison donated money taken for his autographs to the Crisis homeless charity.

This was the first time Wales Comic Con had not been held at Wrexham's Glyndwr University. In recent years, temporary marquees were added to the venue as the event expanded but in May it was announced it would be moving to the Telford International Centre and marketed as "Telford Takeover".
