HANNAH Blythyn AM is doing her bit to back local businesses and promote shopping in our high streets when it comes to Christmas this year

The Delyn AM has made a series of short videos, offering just a snapshot of some of the fantastic local businesses in the area in the run up to Small Business Saturday on December 7.

The Assembly Member has called in recording clips to post online at a range of local businesses including The Pudding Compartment, The Olive Tree Deli, The Bookshop, I-PAL, Sweeney Ted’s Barbers, The Coffee Bean, The Wine Knot, Tower Crafts Holywell and The Good Health Emporium.

Ms Blythyn said: “There are so many different and fantastic small businesses and shops on our doorsteps in communities right across Delyn – businesses that not only provide use with a range of experiences and opportunities, but that are also key to the local economy.

“In the run up to this year’s Small Business Saturday, I felt it was important for me to play my part in promoting just a selection of what is on offer locally in Delyn. It is the season to shop local and support small businesses – I am making sure that I do the majority of my Christmas shopping locally this year but our small businesses are not just for Christmas, they’re for us to support, use and benefit from all year round.”

The overall aim of Small Business Saturday - which takes place on the first Saturday in December each year - is to have a lasting impact on small businesses.

The campaign supports the UK high street, providing an opportunity to highlight small business success and encourage consumers to support small businesses in their communities by shopping local, benefitting the local economy.
