Traffic is "mooving" once again after a distressed cow was moved safely off the A55.

Just after noon on Monday, Traffic Wales tweeted a warning to motorists about a cow on the carriageway on Rhuallt Hill.

The road was closed in both directions while traffic officers dealt with the situation.

North Wales Police confirmed it had been resolved shortly before 2.30pm.

A spokesan for the force said: "Good moos - We are pleased to report the cow in distress next to the A55 at Rhuallt has been moved to safety.

"We had to close the road to ensure a happy ending - thank you for your patience if you were stuck in the queues - things are now mooving again."
