A FORMER Flint High School student made his full debut for Manchester United on Thursday.

Dylan Levitt, 19, shone in an otherwise tough night for United as they slipped to a 2-1 Europa League group stage defeat to FC Astana.

Levitt, who played his junior football at Connah's Quay Tigers, was one of a number of United youngsters to make their first team bows in Kazakhstan.

Levitt, who earned his first senior Wales call up earlier in the year, was part of the 2014 squad that ended Wales under 16s' 65-year wait for Victory Shield success alongside the likes of Ben Woodburn, Tyler Roberts and Ethan Ampadu - who have all since gone on to represent Ryan Giggs’ senior side.

He also represented Flintshire Schoolboys in year five and six.

In a performance described as 'impressive', he is said to have been 'quality on the ball' by fans.

The centre midfielder completed 100 passes in total, 54 of which were forward balls.

Jim Connelly, headteacher of Flint High School, said: “Our congratulations go out to Dylan on his full Manchester United senior debut last night.
