DEESIDE martial arts students celebrated a ‘great haul’ of trophies after entering a British championships competition.

Around 20 students who train at Deeside Tae kwon do Academy, at the Deeside Leisure Centre, entered the British Championships with over 1,500 competitors in the university of Worcester recently.

Darren Richardson said: “It is the biggest event in the taekwondo calendar.

“We achieved a great haul of trophies. I am so proud if all of them who entered. What an amazing team

“They are all local and all train at Deeside Tae kwon do academy held in Deeside leisure centre

Georgia Williams aged ten received a gold medal and holds the title of British Champion.

Oliwia Swiderski aged 14 also received.

Caden Wood aged 9 and Orla Howard aged 12 received their silver award.

Dylan Wood won Bronze and Lilly Wyn Jones, Orla Howard and Seren Williams won Bronze in team sparring along with Bronze Chris Jackson Harri Wood Daniel Weale in team sparring.
