LLANBERIS produced a superb attacking display to come away from their trip to Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One basement dwellers Prestatyn Sports with a 7-4 success.

A strong start from the visitors saw them go ahead on four minutes thanks to a Gareth Edwards striker, and they increased their advantage soon after when Ben Rowlands converted a chance with 19 on the clock.

Things went from bad to worse for Sports on 23 minutes as Edwards finished well for his second of the afternoon, and their misfortune continued after the break when an own goal with 53 gone left them facing a four-goal deficit.

The result was all-but confirmed on the hour mark when Nidian Huws hit the target for the away side, and Rowlands converted for his brace on 72 after another period of extended possession.

Credit to the hosts, they kept plugging away and notched their first of the contest on 78 minutes when Kris Owen struck, and Ashley New also hit the target with 80 on the clock to further reduce the arrears.

Their sensational turnaround in fortunes continued in the closing stages when Robbie Dunn and Owen both found the net, but any hopes of salvaging something late on were dashed when Edwards sealed his hat-trick in stoppage time to round off the scoring.

There was no such luck for Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs, who were heavily beaten 4-0 at home by Greenfield thanks to goals from Daniel Sin, Shaun McKean, Danny Calvert and Sam Jones, and a brace from Adam Griffiths was not enough for Penrhyndeudraeth to get anything from their 3-2 loss at Glan Conwy.

Mynydd Llandegai also tasted defeat on their travels, with Ben Parker and Gavin Owen netting in their disappointing 4-2 reverse at Llandyrnog United.
