A TECHNOLOGY firm team member is aiming to highlight to young people the opportunities available to them in science, technology engineering and maths (STEM) careers.
ZF Aftermarket Wrexham has announced that its HR officer Lloyd Williams has become a STEM ambassador.
STEM Learning is the largest provider of education and careers support in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, working with young people in schools and colleges throughout the UK.
As a STEM ambassador, Mr Williams will volunteer his time, enthusiasm and experiences to encourage and inspire young people throughout Wrexham to progress further in STEM subjects.
Through a range of activities, including presentations, mentoring and careers talks, he will play an essential role in highlighting the opportunities of STEM-based careers.
Mr Williams said: “As a STEM ambassador, I’m looking forward to getting out there and highlighting the work that we do at ZF Wrexham, which transcends all STEM subjects.
"As an active employer of engineering apprentices, I will be promoting these career options in the local schools and colleges I visit.”
