A TALENTED cast was praised following its performance of Oliver.

Lady Janet Jones, deputy lieutenant and president of the Alyn and Dee Gilbert and Sullivan Society, attended its annual performance at Theatr Clwyd. .

It was a sell-out performance which earned huge cheers at the final curtain.

The performance was co-directed by Steve Roberts of Shotton as musical director, Ruth Roberts as co-artistic director and Joni Rusling as choreographer and co-artistic director.

The make-up service was provided by Coleg Cambria.

Lady Janet Jones, President said, “This was a charming production that from time to time raised the roof with loud applause.

"The many youngsters in the cast rose to the challenge and won over the packed house immediately.

"Costumes were cleverly presented. Movement and dancing was assured.

"The musicians in the pit were on great form.

"The performance was a great success that gave huge enjoyment to all of us present. Well done to the Alyn and Dee Gilbert and Sullivan Society.”
