POLICE are warning about a courier fraud occurring in North Wales.
North Wales Police said callers purporting to be police officers told a victim that their bank are producing fake notes and that a taxi would be sent to collect the victim to withdraw a large sum of cash.
The 'taxi' picked them up and returned the victim home.
A 'courier' arrives at the victim’s home address to collect the money. The victim was told to wear gloves when handling the cash.
Police officers will not phone you asking you to withdraw cash for your bank.
Anyone wishing to report suspicious activity can all 101.
