A CLASSICAL singing pair from Flintshire are to play at a local venue very close to their hearts.

Holywell's Richard and Adam Johnson, who recently appeared on Britain's Got Talent: The Champions will return to North Wales for the final concert of their acclaimed UK tour.

The duo first appeared on Britain's Got Talent seven years ago - aged just 21 and 19 respectively- finishing third with 15.4 per cent of the votes.

And in September, they returned to the show for its 'Champions' series - featuring the best of talent shows from around the world - where they sang 'The Power of Love'.

While they didn't make it through to the finals, they have revealed that experience became a hugely memorable one when Simon Cowell caught up with them backstage.

Richard said: "Simon Cowell came up to us backstage, patted us on the back and said we were 100 times better than when we originally appeared.

"He said our performance was much more mature and that it was great to see us doing and wished us all the best for the future.

"We saw David Walliams as well and he said similar things.

"So me and Adam were beaming from ear to ear."

And the brothers will be performing at the Rhyl Pavillion on Sunday, November 24 - for the final concert of their 'Greatest Songmen' tour.

Richard said: "It's a bit like a coming home concert for us, so we're really looking forward to it.

"We have doubled the amount of light and sound effects from any other venue we've played so it's going to be a fantastic show.

"Tickets are selling really well, we've sold about three quarters of them so anyone wanting to grab one will need to be quick."
