AN elderly woman has died after being rescued from a fire in Mancot last night.
A spokesman for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they received a call shortly before 9pm to a house fire at Prince William Gardens.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said they were called to the incident and 'conveyed an elderly female to the Countess of Chester hospital'.
However the fire service has confirmed she has since died.
They added: "Sadly the 80-year-old woman who was rescued by firefighters from her home at Mancot has died this afternoon."
The woman was rushed to hospital with burns as crews from Buckley and Deeside tackled the blaze.
It is not yet known what caused the fire but an investigation is underway.
