A TAXI driving duo from Wrexham are teaming up to raise as much money as possible for Children In Need.

Taxi drivers, Kristan Fox and Christopher Garrigan, who both work for Crown Cars, will be wearing their Pudsey Bear costumes throughout their shifts on Friday, and every penny they earn on that day will be donated to the BBC’s Children in Need charity.

Speaking on what motivated him to take part in this fundraising idea, taxi driver, Kristian Fox, from Rhos, said: “I have children of my own, including my beautiful new born baby, and as a father I just wanted to give something back and raise as much money as possible for this worthwhile cause.”

Since 1980, the BBC’s Children in Need has been raising money for disadvantaged children within the UK and across the globe, and has become known for its celebrity-filled annual telethon and popular mascot, Pudsey Bear.

Christopher added: “I know our customers will give as much as they can and with our generous donations and our earnings for the day, I will have a peaceful nights sleep knowing that I did my bit.”

The owner of Crown Cars in Rhos, Andy Roberts, was keen to support the pair and donated £100 to start the boys off.

He said: “Once Kris and Chris told me of their plans, I wanted to help them raise as much as possible so I got the ball rolling with a donation.

“I think it’s important for a village company like ours to put something back into the community and I know our customers will think the same and give generously.”
