MEMBERS of a local angling club have paid tribute to the fallen war heroes.
Connah's Quay Angling Club placed tributes to the brave men and women who served their country ahead of Remembrance Day.
The display can be seen at the Rosie Pond in Wepre Park, Connah's Quay.
James Davies, treasurer, said: "This morning members of the club committee and John Rowe volunteer from Flintshire countryside services ranger team, put the clubs tribute to remembrance and our fallen soldiers on the island at the Rosie. Lest we forget."
