COUNCILLORS have praised a new addition to their town as it will ‘brighten up the area’.
Shotton councillors were invited to the official opening of K9-Heaven, based on the high street, which is the town’s first dog grooming parlour.
Chair of Shotton town council, Gillian Brockley, told members at their monthly meeting she attended the event, adding: “It was a pleasure to see this wonderful new business and it will be a welcome addition.”
Vice-chair Cllr Sean Bibby also said he was ‘excited to see a new venture on Shotton High Street’.
The store was opened by a mother and daughter duo who aimed to bring the new business to the town.
The parlour also caters for all breeds and includes puppy introduction sessions and obedience service advice.
Connah’s Quay councillors Eric and Gill Faulkner also attended the official opening.
Cllr Gill Faulkner added it was a ‘lovely addition’ to the high street and would ‘brighten up the area’.
