WITNESSES reported a heavy police presence near Cefn-y-bedd as officers hunted three 'suspicious' males.
Eyewitnesses told the Leader that around 2.45pm on Monday afternoon at Ffrwd Road, about 11 police cars and vans were seen searching.
Staff at the Ffwrd pub also said they saw drones being used, describing the police presence as officers being 'everywhere' and the road was closed for some time.
A spokesman for North Wales Police confirmed officers were looking for males who were acting suspiciously.
They added: "They were males well known to police and acting suspiciously in the Minera Road, Ffrwd Road area. Not located."
