FOUR-LEGGED friends were on hand to help develop children's confidence in Buckley.

Skye and Belle, two therapy dogs, visited Buckley Library recently to sit with children and teach families about their role in the community.

Lyn Walker, Library Support Officer, said: “The visit by the Therapy Dogs team to Buckley Library came about as Irena Michalak is one of our customers.

"She regularly attends our fantastic Rhymetime sessions with her family. She let us know about the work she does in local schools, with her Therapy Dog Skye.

"They work on building children’s confidence and developing their reading skills with the ‘Paws to read scheme’.

"Irena volunteered to hold a session for us here at Buckley Library to allow people to learn about the role these fantastic dogs do in our Community.

"Aura Libraries have really enjoyed welcoming Skye and Belle the Therapy Dogs and look forward to a return visit."
