A schoolgirl died after choking on food, an inquest opening has heard.
Abby Reese Beaumont, 15, from Pantymwyn, Mold died shortly after being taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital on April 3.
John Gittins, coroner for north Wales (east and central) told the hearing in Ruthin that a post mortem had been carried out at Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool to determine the cause of her death.
The results of the post mortem, which was carried out by Dr Rajeev Shukla, gave a provisional cause as “foreign body aspiration caused by food stuffs”.
Mr Gittins adjourned the inquest to a unspecified date early next year.
