When did you open and why? We have been here since September 2016 and our previous location was in the market. It was a current business and I bought it from the people who had it previously.

Why did you open in this location? We were actually relocated by the council. When the alterations were being made from the old People's Market to Ty Pawb they closed the market and we were offered this location, which we accepted. Our cafe is very family orientated, we have a lot of people come in who don't want to sit in an open-style atmosphere.

What does your business do/sell? We sell traditional cafe food. It's all pretty basic food really but its very affordable, very 'eatable' and we tend to appeal to the older generation. I think they relate more to traditional cafes more than community spaces.

What is your most memorable or proudest moment in business so far? I think when we got this place really - we progress from working at a standout, then a trailer and then we progressed to the market. We had former home secretary Alan Johnson here one day - he'd been giving a talk. He was sat outside. When someone's well known you leave them alone - we didn't make a fuss, I thought he probably just wanted to come and have something to eat.

Any strange or quirky requests from customers? Not really - we just do basic food, all freshly cooked to order. Whatever you order from us, it's all cooked fresh.
