A DEVASTATED family have paid tribute to a Whitchurch man who died following a fatal collision.
The man who died following a road traffic collision on the A525 Whitchurch Road, Bangor-on-Dee, during the early hours of Wednesday, October 2 has been named as 53-year-old Nicholas Done.
His family have issued the following tribute to him: “We are all truly devastated by Nick’s loss. He was a very hard working man and a much loved son, brother, father and grandfather.
"He will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends and will live on in our hearts. We would like to thank those people that stopped and tried and save Nick on that morning.”
“We ask for privacy as this difficult time.”
The investigation is ongoing and officers can confirm that the HGV that was being sought has now been traced.
Officers are reminding the public that a part of the A525 in Horseman’s Green will be closed tomorrow morning from 9am for approximately 30 minutes to allow the Forensic Collision Investigation Unit to carry out a skid test at the scene of the collision.
