A FLINTSHIRE club has donated almost a dozen pieces of life-saving equipment.

As the Flint and District Lions’ defibrillator roll-out continues, the latest placement is at the Community Centre in Mynydd Isa.

This is the eleventh defibrillator presented by the club and it is hoped another five will be in place before next spring.

At a recent ceremony, Lion President Peter Leach presented the defibrillator to the chairman of the Argoed Community Council, Jon McCarron.

Mr Leach commented that over many years, the residents of that community had been loyal and generous supporters of the club’s annual bedding plant sales.

The club members were pleased that they were able to repay the community with this vital piece of life-saving equipment.
