A BUSINESSWOMAN in Wrexham is on a mission to promote the benefits of reusable products by brining an Eco Fair to the town.

Jenny Thomas, from Gwersyllt, has been making reusable products that replace disposables for several years now, making items such as cloth sanitary pads, make up wipes, wipeable zipped bags and sandwich wraps.

She said: "There is a growing market for eco friendly, ethical and fair trade items and I also make metal and bamboo straw pouches and cutlery wraps for my small business.

"I've decided to organise the Wrexham Eco Fair as I've attended several in Chester, Warrington and Mold and I really wanted to attend an event in Wrexham so that people could get a chance so see my products up close as they can be unfamiliar, especially cloth sanitary pads.

"There didn't seem to be anything organised locally so I thought I'd give it a go myself."

Jenny is hoping to have an array of stalls selling various eco friendly items and preloved products such as books and vintage clothes, with the like of organic foods on offer too.

She added: "There is a growing market for eco friendly, ethical and fair trade items and with Wrexham Eco Fair I hope to give the shoppers of Wrexham the chance to buy not only environmentally sustainable alternatives, but locally sourced and produced goods.

"We will try to make the stalls as diverse as possible to give stallholders the best possible opportunity to sell and also give the shoppers lots of variety."

The Wrexham Eco Fair is due to take place in Ty Pawb on Saturday, November 30 and if you are interested in having a stall you can contact Jenny via wrexhamecofair@outlook.com.
