STUDENTS at a special school in Flintshire were given behind-the-scenes access to the county council offices.
Members of the school council from Ysgol Maes Hyfryd, in Flint, visited County Hall in Mold for an exclusive peak of the council chamber.
The students were greeted by the chair of Flintshire Council, Cllr Marion Bateman, and got to try on her chain of office.
Tanwen Messum-Johnson, family engagement worker at the school, organised the trip.
She said: "Our school council members were invited to meet the new chair person of Flintshire County Council, Cllr Marion Bateman and her husband.
"The students were able to ask questions whilst having refreshments and then they got a tour of the council chambers.
"The staff were lovely and the students were given a certificate at the end of their visit. It is valuable for us at Ysgol Maes Hyfryd that our students are heard and we thank the Cllr Bateman and the staff for a lovely, informative afternoon."
