TWO people were taken to hospital following a serious two-vehicle collision.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call just after 6.23am on Monday reporting a collision involving a car and a pickup truck on the A5118 at Llong.

Firefighters used two sets of cutting equipment to release the casualties - one of which was male and one was female - as well as stabilising equipment, a thermal imaging camera and, as a precaution, two hose reel jets.

The incident was declared over just after 9.50am.
