A MAN banned from Holywell town centre was caught on CCTV.

David Benbow was prohibited from entering town under a Criminal Behaviour Order, but he was spotted in Holywell’s Tesco store on three occasions.

Benbow, 47, of no fixed abode, admitted four breaches of the order imposed in June and one count of theft of headphones from Tesco.

He received an 18-week prison sentence suspended for a year and was told to pay £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £122.

He has to pay compensation for the stolen items of £20.

Gary Harvey, defending, said that his client was recently released from custody and asked the district judge to deal with him compassionately.

But Gwyn Jones told Benbow that immediate custody was justified and the district judge warned the defendant if he breached the current order then he was likely to go to prison.
