FIREFIGHTERS and an officer from Oswestry have been helping to tackle a barn fire in Bomere Heath.
Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service was called with reports of a fire in the open on Sunday at 2.48pm.
Crews from Whitchurch, Wem and Prees joined firefighters from Newport, Hodnet, Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury and Telford.
Operations, Hazmat and safety officers were in attendance.
Crews used a hose reel jet and main jet to tackle the blaze which involved 100 tonnes of hay and a brick farm building.
