FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a blaze in the open in Wrexham.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to a controlled burning which had become out of control in Plas Madoc, Acrefair, just before 10.20pm on Sunday.
One crew from Johnstown attended the scene and used buckets of water to extinguish the flames.
