A TEENAGER charged with killing a Wrexham father-of-four has today denied a manslaughter charge.
Matthew Curtis, 18, of Fairwood Drive in Gwersyllt, was charged with the manslaughter of Philip Long, from Wrexham, following an incident in the early hours of the morning on August 4.
Mr Long, 36, of Marchwiel died at the Royal Stoke Hospital after being found unconscious near St Giles Church on College Street in Wrexham at 1.30am on the night of the offence.
Curtis appeared in the dock at Mold Crown Court today and entered a not guilty plea to the unlawful killing of the Wrexham man.
Curtis was remanded in custody by Judge Rhys Rowlands, who set a date of January 20 for the teenager’s trial to begin.
