FLINTSHIRE air cadets took part in a water activities camp.
1378 (Mold) Squadron’s 3rd Annual Water Activities Camp took place in Bala from August 27 to 30, with cadets from Mold, Flint, Holywell, Ruthin and Welshpool taking part.
The cadets were driven to Bala before canoeing up the lake to reach their camp site.
Over the next two days the cadets completed a Gorge Walk and raft building exercises as well as treasure hunts and team activities.
Flight Sergeant Oliver Owen of 1378 (Mold) Squadron said: “It has been a really good experience especially the gorge walk with the jump off a cliff at the end!”
Flight Lieutenant Andrew Taylor, Commanding Officer of 1378 (Mold) Squadron added “The cadets we have had on camp with us have been fantastic, they have pushed themselves and achieved so much. The RAF Air Cadets provides opportunities for young people aged 12 to 20 to experience so much more than they otherwise would.”
The RAF Air Cadets offers opportunities for flying, gliding, adventure training, Duke of Edinburgh awards, first aid, leadership, overseas camps and so much more.
If you would like more information about joining the RAF Air Cadets, 1378 (Mold) Squadron is having a recruitment evening on Friday 20th September, for more information contact oc.1378@aircadets.org
