A SUPPORT group based in Flintshire will continue to help dementia sufferers after a successful start to their monthly gardening sessions.

The Forget Me Not gardening group met for the first time at Alyn Bank Farm in Mold on August 3 with dementia sufferers participating in outdoor activities in versatile outdoor spaces.

Those who attended were also able to enjoy local wildlife, with therapy donkeys also attending the afternoon session which was held between 2.00 and 4.00pm.

After that successful start, the gardening group is now due to hold a second session at the same time and venue this Saturday (September 7).

The Forget Me Not gardening group sessions take place on the first Saturday of the month, and are available for anyone to attend, although booking in advance is required.

Each monthly Forget Me Not gardening group session will cost £7.50 for a person with dementia, but that fee also allows one other person to attend free of charge.

The fee will go towards the refreshments that will be provided for everyone, the use of plants, and the tools that will be used.
