HOLYHEAD Town’s impressive attacking prowess was on display once again in their dramatic 6-5 home triumph over Amlwch Town.

The Harbourmen have hit the ground running to start the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Tow campaign and have now found the net 17 times in their opening five contests.

The strike duo of Asa Thomas and Gary Jo Owen were in ruthless mood once again, firing in a brace apiece to play a leading role in their side’s success.

They were made to work hard by the visitors throughout the contest, with Ryan Roberts firing in a hat-trick to no avail as the hosts held on resolutely late on to secure the three points.

Gaerwen extended their perfect start to the season thanks to a narrow 1-0home win over Mochdre Sports.

An early strike from Connor Gordon was enough for the promotion hopefuls to secure victory, leaving them three points clear at the summit.

Goals from Shane Jones, Andrew Papirnyk and William Jones gave Barmouth and Dyffryn United a 3-1 home win over Llandudno Amateurs, and a Rhys Parry brace was the highlight of Y Felinheli’s eye-catching 3-1 victory at newly promoted Gwalchmai.

There was no such luck for Aberffraw and Pwllheli, who both suffered 3-0 losses against Penmaenmawr Phoenix and Kinmel Bay respectively, and a solitary effort from Rhys Roberts was all Pentraeth had to show for their effort in a 4-1 home reverse at the hands of championship contenders Llannefydd.
