Jobcentre Plus is working with multiple businesses across the region to offer jobs.

Ifor Williams is currently recruiting for more than 150 new jobs across all sites, including a summer scheme for students.

The Food Warehouse is recruiting for its latest new store opening in Mold on October 1 – approximately 30 vacancies including team leaders and sales staff.

A spokesman for Jobcentre Plus said: “We are pleased to have been able to support their recruitment process by allowing them to utilise the Jobcentre facilities for interviews.

“We were pleased to be able to support Home Bargains, Mold with their recent recruitment. They opened on August 3 after recruiting approximately 45 staff.”

Eden, Sandycroft is interviewing in Shotton Jobcentre on August 28 for its Christmas vacancies.

The Jobcentre Plus spokesman said that further activities were also available.

“Care Week in September, as part of the week, we aim to promote the wide range of opportunities available to work in adult social care in the county. This could be from working to support people in their own homes, in a residential home, becoming a ‘Shared Lives’ carer or starting your own business because you have spotted a need in your community that you can fill. There will be various career advice drop ins throughout the week followed by an information day/jobs fair.”

There are also current and future vacancies within the construction sector in North Wales, while a Gamers Employability Course will begin in early September in Holywell. It will run for 10 weeks for unemployed people claiming benefits via Jobcentre Plus. For more information contact paul.murphy6@dwp.gov.uk.

The Flintshire Homeless Hub is also held on Friday’s in the Salvation Army Building, Dee Road, Connah’s Quay from 2pm-4pm. This aims to support the homeless or those threatened with homelessness.
