THOUSANDS of people from across Wrexham have flocked to Ty Pawb to get a glimpse at the PLAY-WORK exhibition currently on show at the arts hub.

The gallery in Tŷ Pawb has been transformed into a fabulous indoor adventure playground and it’s proving extremely popular with hundreds attending its opening weekend, and over 3,000 visitors have been attracted since it opened just over a week ago.

PLAY-WORK centres on the relationship between adults and children, and on celebratory documentation of radical playwork since the 1970s at Wrexham’s world-renowned adventure playgrounds.

There is loads for the kids to do including playing with 16 tonnes of sand. Kids are happy making tents, climbing, jumping, going up and down the fireman pole and generally having a great time just playing.

If you haven’t yet been it’s well worth a visit and your children will love it. It’s open until October 27.

It’s open 9am -5pm Monday to Saturday and while your children have a great time you can browse the market stalls or take a break and have a cup of coffee in the food court.

The exhibition is funded by Arts Council Wales and Arts and Business Cymru. It is sponsored by local Wrexham firm, Grosvenor ApTec Ltd.

Jo Marsh, arts leader for Wrexham Council and leader of the Arts Programme at Tŷ Pawb said: “We’re amazed and delighted by the numbers of children and families enjoying the exhibition.

“ Our aim is to present exhibitions that are welcoming and inclusive, and we feel this has been achieved with huge success through Play-Work.”
