WREXHAM Council are urging its residents to ensure they have their bins out early in the morning to make sure they are collected.

The council has said that bins should be out on the kerb by 7:30am to guarantee they will be collected by crews.

They have issued this information to make sure people are aware just how early crews begin their work in the morning.

In a statement on their website, Wrexham Council asked: “Did you know that our refuse and recycling crews start their work bright and early? It’s important you know this, so you don’t miss out on your bin/recycling collection.

“We need your bins and recycling to be presented on the kerbside by 7.30am on your collection day. If they’re not, you run the risk of missing out.

“Even if you think your collection doesn’t usually come until later in the day, our routes will often vary and change over the course of the day, depending on the conditions we encounter.

“So, the only way to avoid putting your bins and recycling out too late is having them on the kerbside at 7.30am.

“Not a morning person? In that case, please put them out ready the night before.”

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said, “It’s important to all of us to have our bins and recycling collected, but not everyone knows that our crews begin their work very early in the morning.

“We need your bins and recycling to be ready for us by 7.30am on your collection day, if you put them out later, our crews could’ve already been to your street.”
