ANOTHER afternoon of family-themed entertainment is coming to Rhosddu Park in Wrexham.

The latest fun day to be staged in the park will take place on Tuesday, August 27.

It has been organised by Wrexham MP Ian Lucas in partnership with several local groups and organisations.

The fun days have become a regular feature in the park in recent years, with the last one taking place in May.

There will be a wide array of family-friendly attractions on offer, including a bouncy castle, treasure hunt and free refreshments.

Mr Lucas said: “Preparations are going well and we’re looking forward to what should be another wonderful day.

“It is always good to see so many people enjoying the park and the attractions on offer. There’s a real sense of community around these events and they would not be possible without the many local groups who support and help plan them. It’s a real team effort.”

Mr Lucas added: “There will be something to appeal to all ages and entry is completely free – so please come along on August 27 and have a great time.”

The park will be packed full of stalls and attractions. These will include a children’s craft stall, face painting, fun science activities, storytelling and a fancy-dress competition, which begins at 1.30pm.

The local Spar, Tesco and Asda stores are providing free refreshments.

Other groups who have helped organise the day include the Salvation Army, AVOW, North Wales Police, St James’ Church, the Community Church, Methodist Chapel and Rhosddu CC.

The fun day runs from 12pm to 3pm and admission to the park, on Garden Road, is completely free.
