A POPULAR annual community fun day returns this week, promising to be as entertaining as ever.

After running every year for over a decade, the Rossett Village Festival returns to the Wrexham village on Saturday, August 24.

Taking place between 12.30pm and 5.00pm at the Darland School and Sports Field, the festivities look set to be bigger than ever.

As well as featuring the usual classic car show, brass band and dog show, the Burton and Rossett Horticultural Society Annual Show will be celebrating 70 years of exhibiting flowers and garden produce.

The volunteer-run event will also provide a number of craft and trade stalls as well as family entertainment areas, and a bar providing food and refreshments.
