The council have been issuing advice on recycling over the last couple of weeks to help push people to recycle as much as possible but keep them updated with things that cannot be recycled.

The following are 7 facts issued by Wrexham Council to help you recycle better.

Fact 1- Clear plastic Indian/Chinese food containers can be recycled with your other plastics at the kerbside in your green box/middle wheelie box. Just make sure they’re free from any food residue.

Fact 3- Having a barbecue? Take your food caddy outside with you and pop any bones or leftovers inside as you go along. It makes cleaning up afterwards much easier…just make sure you shut the lid to avoid any pesky flies.

Fact 4- Tooth paste tubes CAN’T be recycled at the kerbside. Please place these in your general waste.

Fact 5- All plastic meat trays can be recycled with your other plastics at the kerbside in your green box/middle wheelie box…just make sure they’re clean when doing so.

Fact 6- Running low on caddy liners? Tie an empty liner to your caddy handle on your collection day and we’ll leave you a new roll. Simple as that!

Fact 7- Did you know large chocolate tubs (Celebrations, Quality Street, Roses etc) can be recycled with your other plastics at the kerbside in your green box/middle wheelie box?
