POLICE have urged residents to keep houses secure following burglary attempts in Wrexham overnight on Monday.
Police said a would-be thief attempted to gain entry to houses on Peel Street and Bright Street during the early hours on August 12.
Nothing was stolen, but minor damage was caused to the outside of one of the properties.
A North Wales Police Wrexham Town spokesman said: "Residents are reminded to lock windows and doors before going to bed.
"A thief attempted to gain entry to a house in Peel Street, Wrexham around 4.45am, and a house in nearby on Bright Street around 5.10. am today (August 12).
"Nothing was stolen, but pots were damaged in one backyard."
