NORTH Wales Police is urging people to keep their property secure.

Inspector Steve Owens, of the South Flintshire policing team, told the Leader he is asking people to ensure their vehicles and homes are secure and to leave valuables out of sight.

On August 6, the team received reports of a wallet being stolen from an insecure vehicle at Chester Road, Mold between 12am and 6am.

The Inspector said: "The bank card was used shortly after at Applegreen garage.

"We will pursue this incident through CCTV but we are asking people to secure their property.

"We will do what we can. The police will obviously pick up any investigation but if we can avoid these matters we should."

Anyone with information or concerns can contact North Wales Police on 101.
