A BLAZE which damaged a vehicle in Bagillt was started deliberately, fire chiefs have concluded.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a car ablaze in New Brighton Road just before 1.40am on Monday.

One crew from Holywell attended the scene and used a hose reel jet as well as a powder extinguisher to put out the flames.

A spokesman for the fire and rescue service told the Leader 50 per cent fire damage was caused to the car.

The cause of the blaze, the spokesman added, was deliberate ignition.
