FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a Gronant home.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call at about 7.15pm on Saturday reporting a blaze a a house in Llanasa Road.

Two crews were sent to the scene - one each from Rhyl and St Asaph.

A spokesman for the fire service told the Leader the property was evacuated and firefighters used a pair of breathing apparatus as well as a hose reel jet.

The fire was confined to the first floor of the property and nobody was injured, the spokesman said.

According to fire chiefs, the cause was an electrical fault.

The incident was declared over by 7.45pm.
