A CHARITY offering equine experiences for people with additional needs have spoken about their delight after appearing on TV.

Clwyd Special Riding Centre, based in Llanfynydd, are celebrating after they were successful in their bid to compete at the Riding for the Disabled (RDA) National Championships in Hartpury, Gloucerstershire.

Riders from all over the country compete at the Championship showcase, which took place from July 12- July 14 and will be featured this weekend on BBC’s Countryfile this Sunday July 28.

The event was attended by HRH Princess Anne – who helped mark the fiftieth year of the competition.

Sorrel Taylor, the centre manager, said: “I am very proud of the team that went along to the show after we qualified.

“We took part in various competitions including dressage and vaulting and have come away with some magnificent achievements

“I would like to thank all the volunteers who give their time to the centre and helping us do what we do.”
