PROPOSALS to create a strategic plan in order to meet the needs of town residents and traders have been supported.

Mold Town Council met on on Wednesday to discuss 'Our Mold' - a proposed strategic plan.

The meeting heard how the plan would contain information about the town council, its structure and services, information on the precept and budgets, key themes and an action plan, a map of Mold's wards and more.

After members agreed to support the plan Samantha Roberts, clerk and finance officer at Mold Town Council said she was very pleased with the outcome and hopes to hear from 'key stakeholders' in the community in the coming months to get their views.

She said: "It's the first time we've agreed to do a plan.

"With help from the community we can prioritise what is important for them.

"We're hoping to send out a questionnaire via Survey Monkey and on the website.

"The first step of the consultation will be the chance to meet Mold Town Council's business and regeneration officer, Joanna Douglass, on August 1.

"We want to consult with all key stakeholders including businesses, traders and residents."

Key themes agreed to feature within the plan are greener and cleaner, safer Mold, proud to be Mold, healthier and happier, a bright future and Mold community events.

The meet and greet with Joanna Douglass will take place on August 1 at Mold Town Council in Earl Road from 5pm to 7pm.
