HUNDREDS turned out for fun in the sun as a town came to life with music with the return of a local festival.

B-Fest Wales has returned for its seventh event set in the beautiful North Wales countryside of Caerwys, near Holywell.

B-Fest is hosted by a team of passionate individuals that pride themselves on showcasing the diverse talent of the region with both English and Welsh entertainment for the whole family.

This years event was set for an ‘exciting change’, according to the B-Fest website, as the focus was put on a full weekend of fun which for the first time offering camping spots and a dedicated kids zone.

Philippa Kitchen, one of the event founders, said: "We would just like to say thank you to everyone that supported B-Fest 2019, the change of location definitely paid off and we are thoroughly looking forward to B-Fest 2020!

"The option of camping as well as live music and entertainment over two days definitely created the festival feel we have been seeking. Our acoustic stage was provided by Studio 1619 and had a great impact on the festival, we are looking forward to working with them in the future. Also our children’s committee [B-Minors] that hosted and organised the kids zone were fantastic!

"To all volunteers, stall holders, bars, food retailers, St John Ambulance and our sponsors Sass & Co, Luntstone, Kingspan, Rosies Pallet company, Flintshire Safety and Third Avenue Events - we could not have done it without you and we will see you next year!

"Also, thank you to our amazing photographers Chris Noble and Michelle at Shellwyn photography and Phil from Radio Deeside for supporting us every year and providing amazing pictures of the days."

Phillipa added that if people were interested in attending B-Fest 2020, they can do so on July 3 & 4 next year.
