BUCKLEY students have been rewarded for their efforts in helping with their school library.

Library committee members at Elfed High School have celebrated the end of the school year and students from Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 were rewarded for their efforts in assisting with the day to day running of the library, with party food, music and an awards ceremony.

Catherine Anstey, school librarian, said: "The emphasis was very much on fun, as the pupils collected certificates and small prizes for, ‘Outstanding effort, endeavour and commitment to the library committee 2018-2019’."

Awards went to Kacie-May Pickles, Lauren Conway, Tia Sanger-Davies, Josh Roberts, Cameron Rostron, Adam Dalton, Hannah Macdonald, Jake Gracie, Logan Gracie, Kelly Williams and Jade Roberts.

Lauren won the category for ‘most library books read’, whilst Jake was awarded, ‘best attendance at library committee meetings’.

Student-nominated categories included ‘library committee member most likely to be prime minister’ which was won by Josh, and ‘kindest library committee member’ which was presented to Tia.

Catherine added: "The library committee work hard to ensure the library runs effectively.

"Their enthusiasm is contagious. I am extremely grateful to all members for their efforts, and I am delighted to be able to show my appreciation. Thank you library committee."
