RESIDENTS will have the chance to learn more about dementia friendly work being done in Flintshire.

This is because an event showcasing the work will take place at Mold's Theatr Clwyd on July 17 at 2pm.

It is being organised by local charity NEWCIS and Flintshire residents are invited to come along and find out more about the dementia friendly work happening in the community, as well as information on support available and how to get involved.

At the event, residents from all over the county will be showcasing their achievements in making Flintshire a more dementia friendly place.

A dementia-friendly community is a city, town or village where people with dementia are understood, respected and supported. In a dementia-friendly community people will be aware of and understand dementia, so that people with dementia can continue to live in the way they want to and in the community they choose.

Admission the event is free, but booking a place is a requirement. This can be done via https://www.newcis.org.uk/Event/dementia-friendly-flintshire-open-market?fbclid=IwAR1uYy6_5ebtF6ZUK2aaEa-Hm-HlpF9agnQhdShSMuaJOfd4I8WX1RB91n0and, ringing 01352 752525 or emailing luke@newcis.org.uk
