THE section of road near Llan-y-pwll in Wrexham that had been closed off after a cyclist was involved in a collision with a pick up vehicle has since reopened.
Emergency services, including North Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service, were on the scene of the crash on the A534 in Wrexham earlier this afternoon, July 13.
An air ambulance transported the cyclist to hospital. At this stage, details regarding injuries are unknown, a spokesman for the Ambulance Service confirmed.
Throughout the incident, motorists were advised to seek alternative routes as the road was closed in both directions at around 4.45pm from the roundabout by the Wrexham Golf Course to Sandy Lane, according to North Wales Police.
This closure remained in place for almost three hours (until 7.30pm).
