A WREXHAM woman caught with cocaine in her purse has been handed an 18-month conditional discharge.
Gemma Pearce was a passenger in a Mazda car stopped by police. Officers carried out a search and found a bag containing white powder in her purse and a credit card that had been cut in half.
Pearce said she believed the drug was cocaine and she was going to snort it.
Pearce, 33, of Bryn Offa admitted a charge of attempting to possess cocaine on June 24 this year as opposed to possession of the drug because the identity of the powder was not actually verified in a test later.
North East Wales magistrates also told her to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
